ALDER (Alnus Rubra) |
OTHER COMMON NAMES: Red Alder, Western Alder, Oregon Alder |
Note: Although Alder is mostly used for painted guitars, we have found a use for it as Core stock on some of our laminated models. Alder is lighter than Mahogany and Cherry, yet has a similar attractive color. *We are currently using Western Maple in place of Alder as we have found the properties very similar and have plenty of stock.* |
